xpy was from Adelaide

go Crows :xpansive:

Brisbane would have been your best choice, would have been near the Gold Coast movie scene.

xpy's back at RBS. He's been posting in threads about me but not to me. Should I try to get him back?

Roguey, Adelaide is a hole. A hole where people still cling to British accents and everything closes at 5pm. How did xpy think he was going to take me to an AFL game? I'm in Melbourne.

One of my friends lives in Adelaide. Another friend who lives in Brisbane rips on him constantly and calls him a roorooting redneck cunt. Funny shit to hear those two go at each other actually.

The one thing I'll truly miss about here is the people. I can honestly say this country is populated by the most generous, hilarious and down to Earth people out of every one I've lived in. Seriously I've never laughed so hard and right when I think one guy's ready to belt another one, in the next minute he's offering up his truck/beach house/money/wife to the other. I've never experienced anything like it. Even the news here makes me laugh. They're telling a story and using Aussie slang for everything - ambo for ambulance, servo for a gas station, etc... - and right when you think you're going to die of laughter, it turns out that the woman who gave birth at the servo and needed an ambo to come save her baby is now $200k richer thanks to donations from the public just from seeing an earlier news story. Crazy shit here. But great people.

Oh - and I should add that I'm currently using a laptop and iphone that were brought to the hospital by 2 Aussie posters the 2nd last time Seth was admitted because they knew I was incommunicado thanks to my laptop blowing up and him chewing my phone. Scholar didn't believe it and assumed I was bullshitting because "in all of his time on forums he's never heard of anyone being so generous". But in actual fact, it's true. That's just how Aussies are. They'll take the piss out of you but they'll do whatever they can to help even if you don't want, or even necessarily need it.

Agreed. I've never met a bad Aussie. I was playing poker a couple of months ago with a pro rugby player from Oz. Big motherfucker. We had a contest to see if he was bigger than Brock Lesnar. He was 6'5" but we didn't know if he weighed as much as Lesnar. Another guy at the table bet him $1k that he wasn't. They actually had security bring them both out to the loading docks and weighed him on the scale. He was one dime richer before the night was over. Although, he lost most of it at the table. Heh.

Roguey, I'm slowly but surely making my way back to North America. I just have to get my son's citizenship crap sorted. Between him being born here and my being a dual citizen of Canada and the US it's getting a bit complicated and Australia is kicking up a bit of a fuss. :(

MF - I never knew much about rugby before I came here but I've met quite a few players since then and they're built like brick shithouses. I guess you'd have to be to be a pro in that sport but it's amazing how much muscle mass they carry around. Hope you enjoyed robbing a poor rugby player of what he makes in a month. ;)
