I know this may be confusing to Americans but it is Thanksgiving weekend. RIGHT NOW. I believe the official day is tomorrow but I am going for the big turkey-with-all-the trimmins' dinner with family this evening.

Happy actual Thanksgiving people!

No turkey for me this year.

I am making brisket today for my GF and I. Tomorrow am going to get a German feast w/ Leg of Lamb and Spaetzle at my GF's parent's house.

I don't even understand what you mean about not being able to post pictures. I am a complete boob and it seems so straight forward. At least it is if you're just posting a pic from the internet. To post a pic from my files is a bit more of a process (but still very do-able).

But I'm just here on a regular laptop with a regular mouse and whatever.

I guess you are using some kind of modern space-age device?

Yeah I dunno. Something about Louis Riel meeting with John Cabot on the plains of Abraham and then Henry Hudson who was killed in a mutiny - his corpse floats up - then Tommy Douglas introduces public health care, and they slaughter a bunch of indians and yeah, we all chow down.

No....home on laptop. I thought I read Blitty or Cali or someone saying that you had to download the images to your computer to put on here so that is what I did. I may have read that incorrectly... Was trying to get them posted from a file.

Woo. I did it. Now if I can just remember how I did that. How difficult is it to post pictures from your hard drive?
 
It's a multi-step process. I can do it so anyone should be able to, but it is not as intuitive as some things.

You need to get into the Manage Attachments thing. To get there you have to Go Advanced - which is the button right beside the Post Quick Reply button.

So you click Manage Attachments and that takes you to your personal File Upload manager. You can click Add Files there. It is then a normal intuitive process of finding your pic in your directory and uploading it. It will stay in your personal manager as long as you want. I've got like 80 things saved in mine now. I should probably thin that out.

Anyway when you want one of those pics in a post, you just drag it to the bar at the bottom where it says attachments and click insert inline.
