I recall an exercise where we determined that humans on planet earth are undergoing 32 main types of relative motion at all times. Starting with the earth spinning, then the orbit around the sun and the actual drifting of the sun within the galaxy and then the spinning of the galaxy and on and on. I think it finally came to 32. Whatever.

I figured that was probably where you were coming from. I hoped to account for all of that with the word approximately in my original post. Maybe approximately doesn't quite cover it.

This is all too agreeable. I am not good at this forum battle thing.

I took one basic astrophysics-for-dummies class in college. It was taught by one of a handful of pro astronomers in Quebec - the guy also happened to have the keys to the biggest telescope in the province. It is remarkable how much that chick looks like Catriona LeMay Doan. Am I right, Canadians? For those that don't know, she is a multi-gold-medal winning Olympic speed skater who is now a speed skating commentator and one of our torch lighters at the Vancouver games. The resemblance is striking.

It's cool because Catriona, while very pretty, is a bit of a religious goody-goody. So imagining that is really her sitting there almost nekkid and ready for secks is hot. :

I just returned from an amazing meal with the family. Chilean Sea bass over some some mashed potatoes with some sort of an octopus sauce. A bottle of Californian wine which was decent. Thank you to all for all the birthday wishes. It is much appreciated from my GL friends!
