Leaving in about 45 minutes.

Not making as much of a fuss as last time. All business. Just gonna go in there and show them exactly what it looks like when top-notch work skills come together in perfect measure with pure magnetic charm.

:pogo:

This is through a temp agency. I kind of like that. For one thing they do a bunch of testing. Accuracy, math, Word/Excel skills. I always welcome tests. Bring on more tests.

Plus I feel there is a better chance of getting my foot in the door. That's all I want. It's not like Fedex who put you through a meat grinder and want to be sure of every damn thing about you before they say hello.

Using the temp agency, they bring people in with no commitment. You have to prove yourself by working. I'm good with that.

I re-watched about 15 bas rutten videos and other shit for a few hrs just in case I went off in court and was thrown in the clink for being in contempt.

I got issues with authority.

I wore my lucky purple shirt and tie, so to answer your question.

NO I was not sweating

Well I don't know about that.

I went in there. First thing they did was make me take another test. Great.

I do some paperwork then they have me meet with some guy who is not who I set up the appointment with. He takes some more info and asks sensible questions - then he starts telling me about jobs they are offering. Talking like $10/hr jobs working in a refrigerated warehouse. Talking assembly line jobs where they might want you to work 60 hours/wk.

I hear him out patiently then politely ask, "So what about the job I applied for?"

That shook things up a bit. He didn't know about it and he goes and gets the woman I talked to on the phone whom my appointment was supposed to be with. (Earlier someone had said she was out of the office on an emergency). She comes in and that part all seemed great. She checked on the computer that all my test results were registered and made comments about how very good my scores were. We talked about the positions I applied for and that chat, though brief, felt very good.

So I don't know what it all means. Guess I'll keep following up with her.

Meanwhile, guess I'll keep sending out resumes and shit.
