What would I do ? Sell it. No point in being a part of history unless you shape it.
i understand a little what you're saying, but damn it would sure be boring to never visit an art museum because none of your paintings hung there or never go to a concert because you weren't part of the band.

that doesn't sound very useful, common
yeah, silly me.

A memory will last a lifetime but won't pay your utility bill. I've often sold something for quick cash that I later regretted. In the end though you have to do what is best for you. Very easy for anyone to tell you what he or she would do when they aren't in your shoes.

The key is my indifference to my presence at an event of historical significance. I do like visiting art galleries. But, I would not care if a painting gets sold for a record amount for a rookie artist during my visit. And it was not even a suggestion to others though it may seem to be so. It will not be special without the 'I was there' ones. I just do not want to be one of them.

It would be better to sell the tickets so you'll have the money in your pocket and could at least tell the kids "I remember the game, I had tickets for it blah blah.."

good point

My Dad had a ticket to game 7 of the 1960 world series a friend was offering to sell him, where Mazeroski won with a walk off homer....

but he had to work at the steel mill...... Because my Dad's Dad got a ticket from one of my dad's co-workers. (my grand-dad was the foreman) and gave that guy the day off instead of my dad.

there were fights about it whenever we visited with my granpa until he died in 2005.

its a great family story that will never die.
