gamelive forum - status report (looking for input from RJ, Polaroid, Baggio, Hutz...)

Where we at?

For my part, I love it.

I mean, I don't love every single post and there are bits I skip over, but that is to be expected. A public forum is not going to revolve strictly around my tastes. But compared to other forums I have been a part of, I love it. It is a 7 out of 10 for me and the next best forum I have seen is a 2 out of 10. My only complaint is I probably spend too much time here due to there being too much stuff that interests me and makes me laugh.

I'm not going to go speechifying about that too much. Just go look at the points forum at SBR if you want to be reminded what kind of wasteland is possible. Hell, look at Players Talk.



I'm curious how the gamelive insiders are feeling at this point. I like that gamelive is fairly small and off-the-beaten track, but I could see how the insiders might see that as a negative and want more growth.

But I really don't know. Do you guys - RogueJuror, Polaroid, Baggio (whoever that is), Hutz (there's a Hutz, right?) - have a wish list?

Right now we are Mauritius as a tax haven, yes I would like to see us as Switzerland at some point.

I like the fact we have people who actually earn through gambling in one way or another, right now or in the past. That gives us experience, and mix that with our drunks, degenerates, bipolar characters we have here and it creates a very attractive mix. I mean considering our size, we get great page view numbers, we are certainly leaving money on the table as is.

With a little effort in the future we could "blow up", and I think there will come a point where we'll make that effort and investment. I would make us a +150 dog on "succeeding" on the 'Yes', I think we've earned the right to give it a try. For what it is now though, the entertainment value is through the roof for me personally and am enjoying a lot.

If this place begins to resemble some of the larger sites at some point, I think this place will lose many of its current core posters.
