Four Loko Strikes Again (with drunken babies):
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- An 18-month-old was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.09, which is higher than the legal limit for adults to drive.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Lashawnda Evette Allen, 32 of Houston, was arrested and charged earlier this week with endangering a child after her daughter allegedly drank Four Loko.
Allen's roommate told investigators that when she got home she asked where Allen's children were. The roommate then found Allen's five-month-old and 18-month-old inside the apartment where the older child, the 18-month-old, 'kept falling over.' Court records also show she five-month-old was found hanging off the bed with sheets tangled around her feet and she appeared to be turning blue.
That's when the roommate called the fire department.
The neighbor also reported finding the the 18-month-old outside near the parking lot where the child appeared to be intoxicated, court records show. The neighbor also said the child was falling down and "laughing like she was drunk."
Allen later told police she had been drinking Four Loko when she fell asleep. She woke up to find an empty can. The drink, which is now outlawed, is an alcoholic beverage with caffeine.
