FW what are your thoughts on the Casino coming in Des Plaines?

I'd love to see one downtown.

I know this is a bit further out of your way.

and as a resident of another state, do you hate to see those tax dollars leave?

Yes, a casino downtown is a natural. It would put a hurting on the Horsehoe at the Indiana st line.

The Des Plaines casino will do big business with people coming in for business. It could hurt downtown a little. I would love to have a limo service from O'Hare to the casino. I would love to work at the Des Plaines casino. Looking right now for a sales job in the Chicago-area and would move tomorrow.


The tax dollars won't leave with the Des Plaines casino, or a downtown casino. I live 15 minutes tops from Four Winds casino and there are 15-20K chicago people out today in the New Buffalo area. Most people who come here are south siders and come to get away from city life. Four Winds is 10 minutes from Lake Michigan.
