I was in NY and what I can say is that sleep wasn’t on the docket for what felt like a week.

I wore my Ortiz tshirt every day during that 4 game span and refused to wash it.

Went to the same bar I watched game 7 of 2003 at for game 7 of 2004

That night was one I’ll never forget

This is a tough one for me. I REALLY want Stanton to get a ring. And I generally like the Yankees. Judge is very easy to like. I have a lot of history with Jazz and Berti. They provided a lot of fun Marlins moments for my kids and I.

But I also have SoCal history. My first baseball game was at Dodgers Stadium. My first baseball idol was Steve Garvey. Vin Scully by far my favorite sports broadcaster. Ohtani is SO easy to root for. Mookie, too.

Gerrit Cole is soft. Sorry Yankee fans. It’s just the way I feel.

Dodger Stadium is heaven on earth for baseball geeks like me. I hated Yankee Stadium during my 2022 visit.

I KNOW I want a 7 game series. I guess I’ll realize who I’m rooting for once it starts?

I just wanted to make this thread about me to the best of my ability. Thanks for reading.

@tullamore I watched all of the games at a bar named the Gingerbread Man in Carlisle, PA. One Sox friend buddy of mine from RI really rubbed it in. It was degrading (the losses, not the mocking).
I was in NYC for the 2009 run, had partial season tix. Didn't go to the WS but attended some of the DS and one of the CS games. The parade was really fucking cool.

Took my 7yo to game 1 of the ALDS, she hung in until the 8th inning. Yankees are going all the way. No reason they can't.

@boner. Awesome taking your kid to the games and passing your fandom onto the next generation Some of my favorite memories of my dad and grandfather are going to games together or just watching games and shooting the shit. Wish I had appreciated it more when they both were still around.

Also 2003 - 2004 Red Sox yankee games were must watch. I remember scalping a ticket in spring training on spring break in 2004 to some old fuck for $300 and driving to sanibel and spending it on tequila and a brunette named Emma

Also Pedro’s 1 hit game 17 strikeout game in September of 1999 against the Yankees with that lineup is the best pitched game ever.

Enjoy the series buddy. I wish John Henry cared about playoff baseball or if he would just die that would be great.
