I am leaving in the morning on a road trip , and I won't have time to watch these but I love this day in tennis. Off a good 5-2 day on picks posted here, I really love this card today.
Jankovic -1.5 -135 5dimes
Huge play for me
Jankovic is a head case at times but she is playing incredible tennis in this tourney. Crushing a tough player like Mattek- Sands, and utterly dominating Dushevina and Bondarenko as well.
She is still a top 5 player in my opinion, even if you look at most of her losses this year outside of Arvidsson in a minor tourney at Brussels and Ana at Indian wells, she has played good tennis this year, she has just not been winning the big matches. I think if she can stay at this level in this tourney and not fall apart, she may be worth a look at a futures wager for the French title.
Schiavone has much easier draws this year but I dont think she is anywhere in the sort of talent her ranking suggests. She looked great at the Australian but since then, she was beaten pretty thoroughly at Madrid by Matte-sands and in Rome by Stosur . Both matches I watched and she looked utterly our of her league against strong hitting players.
Schiavones ranking is a deception, this is a great line to jump on in my opinion.
