Toronto acquired tough guy Aaron Voros from the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. Voros will report immediately to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

While Voros, a willing and enthusiastic fighter, will start on the farm, Burke said he would like to give the 29-year-old a chance with the big club before the end of the season. The complication, however, is that Voros would have to clear re-entry waivers before joining the Leafs.


It looks like 90% of Bukes deals are with his old team the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

Voros was signed only because Orr is likely out for the rest of the year with a nasty concussion. Rosehill is up to fill in for him so the Marlies needed some muscle in the lineup.
