Flyers trade for Versteeg

Flyers win this trade. The picks they sent to Toronto will be low picks in their rounds. If BB can flip or package one of these picks for a real good player then it's a good trade for Toronto.

Versteeg will do well in Philly. I'm not sad to see him go though. The way he skated around (like that little cunt Patrick Kane) with his mouth guard hanging our of his mouth drove me crazy.

The next round of players out of Toronto will be Kaberle and maybe MacArthur. If BB can trade Komisarek then he should be voted as GM of the Year.
 
When BB was named Pres/GM of the Leafs I was ecstatic. I'm giving him 1 more year to see significant changes. That Kessel deal will go down as his biggest blunder of all time.

Komisarek should get teh Jeff Finger treatment and start next season in the monirs. He is taking up way too much Cap space and doesn't deserve to wear an "A". How Kulemin hasn't been handed and "A" by now is beyond me. He is by far the best all around 2 way player the Leafs had in years. I'm starting to get angry now. Phaneuf being named Captain was also the biggest mistake in choosing a team Captain.

I hate that guy. In fact it seems the league is full of classless little twerps. Probably I'm just getting old.
 
Pucky it seems as though Burke was in a hurry to name a captain. Phaneuf has done little to prove he is worthy of the "C".

I am not a Burke fan, never was, this guy traded for players considered toxic while on other teams (Phaneuf/Kessel) I will be happy when he is gone.

The Leafs need more Ontario born/raised players, Prairie kids are good too. We have too many American players. There are some good American players in the league but the very best players in the NHL are not from the USA.

Apparently several players in the Howks dressing room are having issues with Kane and his attitude. I've heard on a couple sports radio shows that Captain Toews had to put him in his place a couple time already this season.

This is the new generation of players. They do not have the conservative personalities from the past, but they are highly skilled. Might as well get used to it.

No doubt the players are highly skilled. But it's up to the veterans and coaches to teach them how to play as a team and respect.
Instead adults want to act like children themselves.
Look at the Avalanche. What a disgrace.

Toronto acquired tough guy Aaron Voros from the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. Voros will report immediately to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.

While Voros, a willing and enthusiastic fighter, will start on the farm, Burke said he would like to give the 29-year-old a chance with the big club before the end of the season. The complication, however, is that Voros would have to clear re-entry waivers before joining the Leafs.


It looks like 90% of Bukes deals are with his old team the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
