The more I think bout it, whoever said bout his draft stock slipping probably will happen with the stuff coming out from NFL people! Executives will say all the right BS things why he wasn't taken earlier!

Will the team think to use this educational poster without the words "in prison" on the team's wall outside just before entering the shower area!

I wonder what Russell Wilson thinks about all of this.

And, once we find out what he thinks, why won't the media drag him through the mud like they did Tebow? Wilson mentioned God twice in his post game interview after they won the Super Bowl, does daily bible verses on Twitter, yet no one says anything about how he's "shoving his religion in your face."

Hmm. I wonder why?

Tim Tebow is a Christian fundie whereas Russel Wilson on the other hand is black.

Oh hey look over there, a birdie.

I don't see much difference between this:

And this:

I don't know, maybe someone can explain it.

Tebow marketed himself as a god-fearing winner in college. Wilson was marketed as a qb who just happens to be religious. If Tebow was drafted where Wilson was, his failing would be no big deal. The NFL is an old-boys club and anyone who rocks the boat is really frowned upon. If you are anti-establishment, you better be damn good, Tebow wasn't.

To me, this is bullshit. I had no idea of Russel Wilson's faith until I actually listened to him talk before and after games which usually included some sort of scripture and/or devotion to his maker.

I was fully aware of Tebow's devotion because, well, that's all most media outlets -sports or otherwise -would write about with the guy.

So Sam's Dad says he's not comfortable with the idea of a gay NFL player

Says he's old school and believes in a man and a woman, and wouldn't want his grandchildren raised in that kind of environment

Says he loves his son and hopes he makes it to the NFL

excited for the start

RSL should have a good year

still reeling after the loss to SKC - that was tough

losing Kreis to NY sucked - kept the coaching in house - so hopefully the transition will seamless

Michael Sam, from the University of Missouri says he is gay. He was SEC defensive player of the year and will likely be drafted.

Most say top 3 rounds.

I say this was an incredibly stupid move. Why not wait until after the draft?

Also not a great idea to be the first of anything on a double 9 day. Good luck with that. I would wish him luck if I believed in it, but this is not going to go well.

I bet he drops at least a round over it.

Told you it wouldn't end well. You don't start things on 9 days, much less double 9 days
