Michael Sam, from the University of Missouri says he is gay. He was SEC defensive player of the year and will likely be drafted.

Most say top 3 rounds.

I say this was an incredibly stupid move. Why not wait until after the draft?

Also not a great idea to be the first of anything on a double 9 day. Good luck with that. I would wish him luck if I believed in it, but this is not going to go well.

I bet he drops at least a round over it.

Okay I guess incredibly stupid financially. Better?

Yep. Not really trying to bust your balls. I just think there are probably thousands of gay kids whose lives are going to be a bit easier when gay football players are out, and I've got some respect for someone willing to pave the way. And, if a guy wants to be out, for whatever reason, it's probably a good idea to do it before being chosen by a team. I'd want to be chosen by a team that supported that decision.

You know every team has at least one Richie Incognito type on the roster that will make this guy's life a living hell next year.

Not just one...from what I have heard it's not the easiest barrier to break.

And Mr. X I really do not care who fucks who in the ass or any of that, I am very libertarian as far as sexual lifestyles go. I have a couple gay friends and they never really care about these kinds of headline issues. I can hear it now "That fag just wants attention." That's something Andrew would say (not Tim).

But I think it was financially not a great idea, that's my point.

I mean if Manti Te'o made it threw the hazing I'm sure a thick skinned queer balls could.

its more important to not be gay like Jonathan martin then it is to not be gay in the bedroom in the NFL now IMO

most important thing will be if the guy can play.

Look at the bright side. He could get a lot of endorsements for products specifically marketed for gay people.
