Nina wondering if Alabama fans think Saban is better than Bear Bryant. Or what else does Saban have to do to eclipse the Bear.

IMO no matter how many titles Saban ends up winning, never be loved at much as the Bear! He's not part of their good ole boy's club!

Mary Harmon Bryant didn't want an elaborate funeral for her husband, certainly nothing at the football stadium. Her husband already had enough attention, she figured. She didn't want music or a long list of speakers giving eulogies.

Nonetheless, the service and telecasts filled three churches in downtown Tuscaloosa. Hundreds of thousands lined the streets there and in Birmingham and along the path of Interstate 59 along which Paul "Bear" Bryant was taken to his final resting place at Elmwood Cemetery.

He was a snazzy game day dresser too!

But Mr.M, there are new generations who only know stories of the Bear but they are living the Saban era. Although, in all honesty, the most loved Saban in this state is Ms. Teri. She could rule us all if she wanted to.

I remember being in school and over the PA system, they started playing the breaking news about the Bear. I cried.

Nina, I guess you're right, you should know, you live there! New generations of kids you play games inside instead of outside! Let's see though how many end up attending Saban's funeral! I know, new generations will watch it on their phone! :nono:

That being said, I hope Bama gets buried tonight like I have the last couple weeks!!!

Just because you won your bet and it had an exciting ending doesn't mean it was a great game.

You're right, it was more than that, an ESPN Instant Classic! You would think a 35-31 meant no defense being played but in reality both defenses were superb! Not sloppy at all with only 2 TOs! A heavyweight fight with both teams trading punches! Alabama usually wears teams down over the course of a game but Clemson did it to them last night! Tigers offense ran what like 99 plays to Bama's 66!
