Matty your opinion is always appreciated but your attempts to link things to something like religion which was never mentioned are really tiresome. I even stated that "I'm not talking morallity" which would imply to some at least that religion has nothing to do with it. People can have a sense of right and wrong and not be religious Matty.

Wakky, you're losing me here. It's also scientifically substantiated that the Bible is a crock of shit but hundreds of millions of people across the world refuse to accept that.

In fact, I'd hazard a guess that a large part of the "society" you're talking about who believes women who cheat are sluts while men who cheat NEED to, are the same faction of society who believe in the absolute truth of a book that's been proven to be inaccurate and impossible. So I guess they just pick and choose when science works for them? :dunno:

By the way - I wrote this before seeing the posts above about religion. Funny how that happens :lmao:

Fine but why marry then? If you know it can't be controlled why give your vows to be true to one person?

Being a sexual being and exploring all there is to be had is fine.

Maybe somewhere along the way the marriage isn't working out so why cheat? Why not just end the marriage?

Also let's not forget the guy I spoke of and other guys I know feel it is ok for them but not for their mate hence the double standard. Many of the mob guys we've all read about or watched movies about thought nothing of having a mistress but that wife better be monogamies.

I wasn't saying anything about you specifically. My point was that those who tend to chirp the loudest about this issue also tend to fall into a certain religious background.

And I find it hilarious that their justification for one thing - science - is completely dismissed when it doesn't suit them.

Homosexuality is another topic I can think of where scientific fact is ignored.

I was reading this david sedaris chapter last night..... he is a high fidelity homo. he and his current bf at the time of writing (Hugh) have been together like 9 years. and they both claim to not have cheated. which is rare for homos.....

Sedaris met his previous BF of 6 years at the manhole..... here in chicago.... but that bastard cheated
