Minorities...
It's well known most progressives/regressives are condescending towards minorities (studies have proven this as fact)...
They probably aren't even conscious of it but in their world view the unearned moral superiority they possess ensures that in order to assist those minorities that they deem oppressed, more often than not requires them to use more simplistic language when talking to said minorities...
These people have more in common with groups like the KKK (eg segregation so that these oppressed groups can escape their oppression by the patriarchy etc) than most people on the right will ever have (save the hardcore ethno nationalists on either side of the political spectrum)...
