It's not quite there yet.

The raspiness of the AI gave it away, but damn that's scary to think that not only can we no longer trust what we see with our own eyes (deep fakes) but no longer can we believe what we hear with our ears as well...

Seems dystopian though have a feeling that ppl will be cool with it once the tech arrives as the product marketers will appeal to human emotion and the desire to regain what was once lost etc...

I probably already talked about it on here, but this was a good movie about that.

Black Mirror also did an episode on that idea. It started with the artificially generated voice on the phone, but then they actually took it a step further and made a body in a bathtub to put it in.

Cooking up that just-add-water body may have been taking it too far but the voice bit is interesting - and obviously getting more plausible by the day.
