This is an interesting read from 2+2

PropPlayer:

"Latest story over there though probably no big deal but will report. BetIslands has now "acquired" 7RedSports. Some back story here:

In early Feb 2012 there was rumour from a credible source EZStreet, BetIslands, and 7RedSports were all the same company. This was denied by Jon of BetIslands multiple times. One of the threads was locked then later reopened after drama. There were several times Jon denied this. The sites looked very similar though.

Then I don't remember the exact date (this thread might of been deleted not sure) someone showed up claiming to be an employee. Saying Jon was known as Nick at EZStreet but Jon at BetIslands and they are the same company. This was brushed off as being a disgruntled former employee making up lies. Jon continued to deny having involvement with any other books.

There was another response giving a name saying call one book as for name X, call the other asking for the same. You can reach this rep at either book they are the same. Still continued to deny connection.

Recently both sites had their software upgraded needed to use all caps password with both.

There was another thread trying to leak the real owner of BetIslands was arrested (might of matched the Pinnacle timing - and Jazz was mentioned in that indictment) perhaps neither here nor there but this attempted to tie them to other books.

Then just the other day someone notes both books play the same music when on hold.

Finally today Jon says they seen opportunity to purchase a small book and has done so. So coincidence (?) they now just purchased a book they spent 9 months denying involvement with when many people believed these books were always connected.

Again probably no big deal except EZStreet is rated D, BetIslands was originally part of Jazz group with similar low rating. BetIslands gets rating B though hosted with a company SBR has rated D as well. 7RedSports comes along and gets rated same as EZStreet D. So BetIslands is surrounded by two separate companies rated D but is rated B. There are known shills (a few who are known EZStreet Shills) that bump and rave about BetIslands at every chance they can get on SBRForum, and BetIslands has a sponsor ad on that forum. Real players influenced by shill posts join are caught in everyone bumping BI's rep and do the same. Probably harmless, but that's how the company's reputation was built.

Anyway probably no big deal here at all because have always heard BetIslands pays fast, it just shows the LOL of the ratings. Also BetIslands will be paying Cory1111 the money EZStreet owes him.

SBR

The full thread from 2+2:

"SBR has misrepresented the facts many times in their disputes. IMO there are some "okay" sportsbooks that SBR has bashed over and over again without disclosing the facts properly due presumably to affiliate issues. "

"If you disagree with SBR's ruling on legit disputes against their sponsor book you risk being placed on their slow server extension which makes using their forum near impossible. If you continue you risk 6000 per post timer. If you continue will get put on post moderation or just banned. This is not for being disruptive it is tactics they use when many believe their sponsors are not acting fair or the ruling was wrong and are discussing it., Posters could say much more if it was a D+ book, but if people are getting swayed and it's causing a PR hit for a sponsor expect they will clean things up and regulate their forum. In some cases when things turn really bad against them entire threads are just deleted, many of the most fair player advocates are banned from posting at SBRForum."

prop is a fucking moron... decent writer, but has no idea how to comprehend what he is reading... sbr has said, more than once, that they wont change the ratings of 7red and ezstreet until cory is paid the money owed to him by ezstreet... i guess the kid keeps missing those posts...

he also needs to admit he was fucking stupid for believing cory in the cory/mom case with heritage... the 2nd arb guy ruled against cory and basically said he wouldnt have given the deposits back if it were up to him...

The thread itself is more about how SBR operates - how they mislead people with their recommendations etc.

I like it that people in non sportsbetting forums have noticed how SBR (as a provider of accurate information) has changed for the worse the last few years.

SBR cannot be trusted as a review site because of conflict of interest is basically the message, and I agree.

Generally speaking anyone outside of the USA should avoid Costa Rican sportsbooks, it's only Americans that need guidance wading through the muddied waters of the offshore world.

Scammers don't setup shop in Gibraltar or Australia.

prop posts at sbr a lot... he just takes info from sbr and peeps (mostly complete speculation from assholes and haters) and posts it in the sports gambling section of 2+2 to make it seem like he is some bigshot gambling guy with the inside stories...its comical...he has some shitty little sites that have books ads and he gets a little affiliate kickback from a few books and thinks he has some sort of clue ...

of course, sbr is biased towards sponsors...thats been obvious for a while... but prop throws wild and often completely stupid accusations at them non stop, mainly because he is bitter and thinks sbr and heritage were fucking corys mom over... which they werent... so for the last few months, he has gone completely mental and obsessive over them... kid seems to be close to a meltdown...

grain of salt, plommayyy...grain of salt

awesome... im ignorant because i saw through a scammers bullshit and backed a book? or im ignorant because i make fun of a mental case who has taken his time on the forums too seriously (prop) :clueless:

please enlighten me... i would love to know 1 thing you see in my posts that is ignorant... everything is 100% correct and you should be ashamed of yourself for being too stupid to see the obvious scam cory was attempting and the obvious shit prop is throwing around because he is pissed at sbr and heritage...you do realize the case has been closed for a week, right? please, cry about it for a while and then grow some fucking balls and apologize... i dont like arguing with guys that i respect and like on the forums, but i will.

Ray, for me the issue isn't Cory or his dispute.

My issue is with how SBR cannot be unbiased because of their financial interest in the books they mediate for.

When SBR provides information it will be scrutinized/questioned and ultimately determined that what they say should be taken with a grain of salt. When posters on their forum disagree or prove information contrary to what SBR says they are almost always silenced via slow server, delay or ban.

The offshore "industry" or its watchdogs cannot be trusted - people that aren't informed need to be made aware of this.

Payout issues are not unique to Costa Rican books but they are responsible for the vast majority, not even close.

Is Betislands related to EZStreet? No

Well ok, maybe.

To the untrained eye it would appear that books don't always tell the truth when confronted.

Tony seems classy.

lol.

Costa Rica, what a fukkin joke.

I like how some books in Costa Rica want us to believe they don't offer moneybookers because it isn't available to their American customers, it likely has more to do with moneybookers being in a position to freeze funds of a 3rd world book.

they don't offer mb because they are such shady of operations they can't even get a verified account with sufficient limits.

then the few that do can hardly keep them funded. probably specifically because no american idiots can deposit that way.

oddly Sportsbook.com doesn't have this problem.

My argument was fair arbitration. I researched, I emailed back and forth with Justin many times with long emails. I emailed back and forth with Nelson Rose twice. Oh it seems obvious was not good enough for me, in fact Justin's emails led me to feel there was increased probability of innocence, but I was never really trying to determine this only gathering evidence and pushing for a fair arbitration and commenting on the bullying involved, tons of dishonest spin, and that it was about the PR for them never about getting it right. Whatever happened to the charity donation they stepped in themselves to offer? There was no pressure to offer that. It was far more the precedent of it, nothing to do with if I believed Cory or not.

That's what I do? I wasn't even posting at 2+2 in 2011 or 2012 until I stopped posting at SBR in October. You don't know me at all and have made comments as if you know about me at multiple forums.
