I think the west coasters critisism, across the internet, of a percieved east coast "over-reaction" fails to recognize one fact that justifies any level of east coast reaction to the recent devestating seizmologic events. The east coast, particularly the north east is actually important. Like, REALLY REALLY important.

Government, stock exchanges, tourism centers, cultural centers and historical relics could be disrupted or destroyed by events on the east coast. Worst that happens on the west coast is some tv show or movie shoot is interupted and everyone has the rest of the day off to go surfing.

So I say, west coasters enjoy your mocking of our over-reaction! In the meantime ill be here in NYC making sure your world keeps functioning.
