From the Jan 4 edition of the Herald Sun (newspaper here in Melbourne):

"Australian wildcard Sophie Ferguson bowed out in the first round, beaten 6-4 6-2 by second seed Shahar Peer.

The result was a nice little earner for one punter, with a CentreBet client placing $1 million on the Israeli to win at $1.08 for a profit of $80,000."

While these high street bookmakers (I don't think they own any shops?) take in big bets once in a while they do it for publicity purpose. They still limit like every other regular online book. And they still have their measures for the street shops.

I initially thought Shari was talking about a tennis match but then she mentioned a punter so I quit trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

She's cool and all and lil Seth is a champ but I've distanced myself since learning of pics given to SBR and not here (never saw and now are gone) and a video done for SBR and not us. I guess we just aren't worthy.

Yeah, they definitely limit as they've nailed me on NCAAF and NBA TTs. Centrebet doesn't have any storefronts that I'm aware of, at least not in Australia but I see what you're saying.

I was thinking though that it would be worth hitting them once or twice for a decent sum and then getting out of there since you at least know your money is safe and you'll definitely be paid. I know they constantly take big bets as I've placed a few with them on behalf of others and their credit lines are crazy ie I even have a $10k one and when I applied for it, I undershot my income by quite a bit.

Oh yes, safety-wise they are top of the world (Australia I mean). Me and plommer always endorse Australian books. And for sure if you have ability to play with them you should, they have nice non mainstream offers at times. I used to use them exclusively for their live cricket betting in T20 matches. I've seen good stuff for Formula 1 if you act quick.

They're actually really good with tennis and US sports at times as well as their lines tend to move slowly. And there have been at least 10 times in the NBA season so far where I've managed to jump on a bad line or they leave it open after a game/match has started but they always honour it even if they catch it later. For tennis, leaving matches up is almost a weekly thing.

I think their policy is basically if the game has started or resumed and they haven't contacted you, it's their fault and they take the fall. For some reason their data entry people must love O/U 170 in 2H of NBA games and O/U 110 in NBL 2H. Those have popped up a couple times both this year and last. :lmao:

for more, email him because he doesn't know what AIM is

He's quite brilliant. According to him, America invented terriorism. Not sure what terriorism is, but I'll assume it involves terriers in some way.

he's also a liar who posts fake bet amounts

He and yellowfist didn't get along so well.

I suppose it's because patty was what Aussie Punter knew he'd turn into in 5 years, and he was terrified at the prospect.
