They are both going before a judge in the New York Supreme Court tomorrow. Judge will decide weather it stays or goes, at least until a jury trial much later.

In a conference call with reporters on Friday, Boies[draftking's lawyer] laid out his plan of attack. The key lies in how the law defines gambling as an activity that creates an outcome thats not under [the players] control or influence. Because DraftKings and FanDuel users choose the players on their teams for any given contest, Boies believes that means they can influence the outcome of their competition.

Attorney General's stance:

Games of chance often involve some amount of skill; this does not make them legal, Schneiderman wrote. Good poker players often beat novices. But poker is still gambling, and running a poker room or online casino is illegal in New York.

Frontline did an hour piece on fantasy sports. They mixed it up with offshore betting touching on Pinnacle, and how they supposedly operate from the US with a bullshit technical explanation. They tried to make it seem like Pinnacle operates from US servers, when in reality it just uses a CDN to accelerate and firewall their site which the experts they quoted conveniently didn't explain. Also they went in some crazy run trying to find Pinnacle's office in Curaao presenting them like sketchy, of course they are not going to open the doors to the operation to the first idiots that walk in the door.

Also they "discovered" hundreds of offshore betting sites the authorities didn't know about by trace routing beteagle's server, basically additional domains to beteagle's pph backend. DA quoted promised to investigate and punish to the full extent of the law.

Weak stuff from Frontline, they usually do good work but still interesting.
