Best Buy has a website as well. Walmart does not carry anything near the quantity or quality of Best Buy's inventory.

Maybe you and I look at quality, but there is a very large segment of the population that price matters. Circuit City went online only and can beat Best Buy on many things. I signed up with DealsPlus on Twitter and bought a Panasonic Blu-Ray player last year for $89 with free shipping. Best Buy was running $189 on it.

But you can get it cheaper at numerous outlets, including Amazon and Wal-Mart.

there are always going to be stores where you can get a product cheaper than another store. i can get a cheeseburger cheaper at wendy's than i can at chili's, yet chili's remains open. there will always be a demand for brick-&-mortar in addition to on-line shopping in many industries.

I don't think that's a good analogy, BB. Wendy's and Chili's are completely different quality wise.

Fairwarning was talking about purchasing the identical blu-ray player off the internet for half the price of the store.

in my book, fast food joints like wendy's, mcdonald's, etc., equal the likes of chili's, olive garden and red lobster. just don't see/taste much difference in the chicken sandwich i get at whataburger and the one they sell at chili's. there are also way better bbq joints for me to get ribs, might be a personal thing but if they're not actually dry-rubbing and smoking the ribs on site, i go somewhere else.

i understood what fairwarning was saying. some people just like to see/touch the product they are going to buy as opposed to ordering on-line. i've ordered computers and computer equipment on-line, movies and books as well. but i prefer to actually see and check out things like cameras, televisions and other things which is why i noted there will always be a demand for brick-&-mortar shops.

Back to best buy for a sec. I think a lot of people go there to see the Computers, tv, etc. Then they go look for it on-line and many times beat it. If you want the new Taylor Swift cd, Best Buy is your place.
Some people buy items at Best Buy to try them out and then return the item back to Best Buy and purchase elsewhere, like tigerdirect.

I dunno.

there's pinnacle and people still play at ladbrokes
Ladbrokes is a bad example, they have some good offerings and are better than most Euro bookies IMHO.

Victor Chandler is a better example. They usually have atrocious juice.

Plus Ladbrokes is more useful than Pinny in regard to banking options, you can have multiple accounts in different currencies and move money around that way, they are also fast paying.

You dont even have to buy from Best Buy, just see it, ask questions. Circuit City online has been running very hot prices on laptops.

BayBud, Archie seems to think you are an old guy. Is that true?
PS: By old I mean older than Mudcat.
i think at one time i knew how old mudcat was, but no longer remember. i'm on a collision course with 57.

Bay Bud review us the latest Taylor Swift cd
i couldn't tell you the title to one of her songs. i know i've heard some, but that's about it. very few 'chick singers' that i do like, bonnie raitt, emmylou harris, diana kraal and susan tedeschi are first to pop into my head.

i think that if the hair goes past the triangle and afros i have fear

probably for the past 5 years the women i have been with all are hairless though

sometimes i miss hair
one of us is in the wrong thread.
