I was pissed about the other day.

I was in the minimart laying game to her and my ex fiancee's best friend came in and didn't say a word to me which is perfectly fine. I thought nothing of it at the time. Then I come to find out that my ex fiancee was in the car watching me. When I next went into the Minimart instead of the big smile every time the girl sees me it was looking at me then looking away. I mean we still flirted but it wasn't like it was.

My ex's friend's husband is the fire chief out here so they know EVERYONE. I am 90% sure they had some things to say about me that they made sure reached the Minimart girl.

you guys were in it together for a long time. and nothing but time, distance, and happiness will be effective in breaking down some of the deep ties that bind. Unfortunately you are close in geographical proximity... so you thus don't get much distance, and secondarily time..... as any time you have a reminder...even if it is just a little restaurant you had happy memories at, that you pass by daily..... it keeps the heart yearning for the good times.

and our hearts tend to remember the good and best times, more readily than we remember the shitty times that separated us.
