I always did when I was a kid...always.

Other than holidays or when we have company(or when at a restaurant), I haven't sat at a table and eaten a meal in a very long time. I usually eat on the go or in a chair or bed in front of the TV.

If I had kids I would eat at the table with them. Mom eats at the kitchen table.

My mom always made us do that and I always hated it.

Since leaving home, I have avoided it like the plague including when I had a little pseudo-family of my own and various other passing domestic situations.

Eating like that should be the exception, not the rule IMO.

rarely... like this weekend ill have family over and we will all eat at the kitchen tables because thats what my dad wants... ill basically ignore everyone, eat and go watch tv or lay by the pool... i would rather put a bullet in their heads, than be stuck listening to my brothers wife, her mom and my niece yap yap yap ...

last week i went to a sports banquet for the kids... a long time buddy of my brothers was there... lost a few teeth and is bald... my bros fucking cunt mother in law had the nerve to say she would hate to be an old out of shape guy at a sports banquet with no hair and teeth missing ... said it right to his face... too goddamn stupid to realize what she was actually saying...i told her to apologize and stop being a judgmental fucking cunt.. that went over real well with everyone at the table.. i got up and went and sat with my nephew and his buddies... fuck that shit

There's like four posters here I'd actually sit down and eat with

Tron RR and Blitty are three

We can all joke around but who you are seen with is very select, it is important and it does affect who you will be seen with in the future

I wouldn't eat with Matty or Rogie

This is very insulting.
It wasn't meant to be insulting. I have no negative connotation about "eat at the tv" types. I see you as a table guy when your kid/s are older, if that is any consolation.

I am an "eat watching tv" type, although I know that is something you are "not supposed to do" for various reasons. Maybe I just had had enough of the enforced eat at the table 3x a day when I was young.

Also, eating with mom at this point is not a very appetizing thought. Alzheimers can cause some disturbing eating habits, so I tend to make her dinner, set her at the table, and make mysef scarce.
