I wouldn't say there are absolutely no issues but in the grand scheme of things, they fall more under the heading of first world issues than seriously fucked up shit.

Don't hate my dad, not at all, I love my old man, we just don't get along sometimes - most of the time.

We don't fight, but we can't converse for more than a few minutes because he is always taking a shot at me or my past and has been extremely critical since as far back as I can remember.

To say I craved his approval (from birth up until about age 35) and never got it would be accurate.

I have a fucked up relationship with my father. Having said that, I will miss the fuck out of him when he's dead. Assuming he dies before me.

but yes I loves my daddy. Used to dislike him as a little kid, he used to fly off the handle, but man he's done a lot for me. Especially after mother died. Always felt safe and like a priority.
