but nothing sounds good to eat?

This happens to me quite frequently. My stomach is growling right now, but I can't really decide what I want. I'm too lazy to actually cook anything. I guess I could go get a breakfast buffet, but meh. I just don't know. Someone needs to invent new food. Then, maybe something would sound good.

Mmm... breakfast buffet = all you can eat bacon.

You know what's weird about buffet bacon? It's chewy. I like my bacon to be crispy. I'm not sure if it's just the way they cook it or if it's the quality of the pork, but it's chewy. This is universal at all buffets here. It's strange. Why can't just one buffet have crispy bacon?

I can relate to the part about getting hungry - I have a big appetite - but I can't relate to the part about nothing sounding good to eat. If anything, everything sounds so good I sometimes have a hard time picking just one thing.

I feel that way all the time, Monkey. Honestly, it's like I've gotten sick of my own cooking, and when I'm already hungry I don't want to be experimenting with new recipes or driving all the way to town for new ingredients. For awhile I was having supper with my neighbors a few times a week then holding a barbeque for them once a week to reciprocate. That was quite fun, until I got tired of their company after about a month.

I think this may be one of the imperatives to settle down with someone in a committed relationship. I need someone to make about half of my meals just happen without my direct involvement, so I can get back to cooking my food and enjoying it.

come on you can't find something to eat in nyc ... i tried to go a chinese place last night and they served fucking arepas.

the point was that nothing sounds good to eat not that you can't find anything good to eat

i just eat anywhere i bump into cause i don't wake up craving something specific, just whatever, i think that was mf's point

I think it has to do with sitting under the heat lamp and not being eaten right after being cooked...just a theory but crispy is the way to go.

I haven't had bacon in 20 years, but I'm pretty sure I still prefer it chewy.

20 years? that is unamerican
