I do sometimes feel too old to be got though. People don't always get me.
Mind you that is not a gamelive thing - that is a pretty consistent experience at all forums for me. Nor is there any particular reason to think it has to do with my age. It is probably just my abstract way of sometimes expressing myself in writing and was the same when I was younger. I'm really much more clear in person.
As long as muddy is here I am not too old.... besides I do things most people my age wouldn't consider but then again I do have a bunch of friends who are a lot younger than me. The one thing I do know is I am way too old to get into bar room fights, not that if I see it coming I will back down......
I’m not sure if I feel too old to post here at times but I do feel as though the is a concerted effort on the part of the core group to make certain things more of a big deal than they are.
Maybe Die Antwood really is all the rage around here but it seems forced. Maybe there are posters that believe Shanty is a real poster actually living in Pakistan but it just seems phony. Sometimes it’s like there is such an effort to make things appear to be more cool or hip than they really are or an attempt to make certain conversation more or less relevant than they are.
It does seem at times it becomes a competition around here to see who can make the most outlandish thing all the rage. Whether that is a misconception on my part or and inside joke on the part of others I don’t know.
None of this makes me not want to be here or I would have already been gone but it does make me not fully understand the makeup and the direction of the forum. I like the people that are here even if I don’t fully understand everyone.
I don’t spend every waking moment worrying about it but I would be lying if I didn’t sometimes wonder if I am too old, too irrelevant, not hip enough or just not cut out for certain places I post at.
The Die Antwoord thing is condoned by management. The enthusiasm isn't forced but I reckon that a minority is forcing it down the throat of the baffled majority.
Matty, Bread asked a question and I gave an answer from my perspective. What about that is so problematic for you? Most of GameLive come off as though they don't want to be gotten. That's an opinion Matty.
Mr.Monkey, I don't mind pushing of the buttons, I do it myself. Course some tend to push them till there's no button left to push. I'll probably not be fighting with anyone today though.
