Do you ever feel bad for inanimate objects?

Lately I've been having a strange concern for inanimate objects or various creatures that talk, or are portrayed as having human qualities on tv.
Like that talking pothole in the commercial. Imagine if she was really alive with human sensibilities. What a shitty life, to be a pothole.

For future reference, Inner, my method for retrieving this was as follows. I went to the PZ and sorted threads by Thread Starter, navigated to the pages containing your threads, narrowed the possibilities down by looking for threads that had the icon indicating I had posted in them, and that list was then short enough that I could parse it by eye, obviously spotting the jackpot.

Two inanimate objects I have a strong attachment to: my guitar and my piano. I would definitely feel bad if anything happened to them. I would feel like I betrayed them.

I have had the piano since I was 8 and we have been through a lot together. The guitar I have had since I was 11 - and she even has a name (Rosy).

I had to throw away my old school Mudcat poster (with mustache!!!) when we moved. That made me sad.
