What I don't get is people who won't play if the jackpot is like 10 million - but when it's 40 million, they're in. Like they're doing some kind of calculation and deciding that one is worth it but the other isn't.

I would play that damn "Cashword" scratch off every morning. It started with the $2 tickets, and progressively went up to the $10 Cashword tickets. I would scratch as I sat in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot in my car drinking coffee and eating 2 donuts. If I won, i would take that $$ and buy more. If I lost, I would buy more. rarely did I win and stop playing. I knew I had a problem when one day, my ex Julie was in the bedroom and asked me to come upstairs for a Sunday morning tryst. i told her i would be up there in a minute, but spent the next 20 minutes playing scratchoffs. I stopped shortly after that.
