I mean I've pretty much written off my liver as fokked with my habits but I don't take it behind the wheel. That being said if someone has 17 or say 30 or 1/4 of 100 beers and then hits the road and mistakenly hits someone are they necessarily a bad person? I think this is a topic that could get completely different answers from many different people in many different walks of life. Personally my answer is

Pavy the US obviously needs more prisons, if people won't obey the law they should be locked up, for as long as possible, unless they are rich, then they shouldn't get any jail time.

Rich people = good for America, they cannot use their wealth for the good of Americans if they are incarcerated.

Ride with a friend, take the bus/cab/streetcar/bike or fucking walk. You have options even if you're in Clymer, PA.

If you get drunk when you know you have no choice but to take the wheel in a little while, you're most likely a bad person, yes.

Prisons are good for the economy. We make good money when we design prisons.

The thing about Clymer is everyone is drunk around here but no one really cares. Going to be a bit tipsy and feel like venturing into real civilization aka Indiana or Punxy? Staties will get ya they love that shit.

If you plan to get drunk why drive? Just go to the store sober and get your booze and go drink home. Why do people want to get drunk in public?

Does the same apply to people that text and drive? Talk on a phone and drive? Drive tired? Drive while on pain meds? All of these can cause fatal accidents the same as drinking and driving. They all inhibit reflexes or cause distractions yet are viewed very differently than drinking and driving. Am I a bad person for texting while driving?

I couldn't agree more but shit happens.

For instance when I got my DWI my boss was a very good friend of mine and we went to NYC for all out drunken debacle because he was leaving the company. When I got back puke drunk he suddenly didn't have a ride for me back home roughly 30 minutes; I was parked at work and I couldn't spend the night there.

Others do it for their own reasons but that's my story, odd occurrences do happen.

Others get used to it for whatever reason.

No you are not a bad person if you do all of the above. But would you allow your surgeon perform surgery on you while he texts or answering phone calls or after he took painkillers?
