Dateline Mysteries/48 Hours Hard Evidence

These two shows take up roughly 10 hours of my week. I watch the reruns on TLC. I watch the newer ones on DVR. My GF and I hatch plans on ways we would take each other out and try to get away w it (just kidding).

Any of you feel after watching these true crime shows, it makes you smarter in the ways of covering up a crime? I'm amazed at some of the things the cops overlook in the vetting process of the suspects.

"vetting" is a word I've hardly heard used in my lifetime, now I hear it multiple times a day. And the people that use it act like we've been using it all along.
There are other such words. "Austerity" comes to mind. That came on the scene a few years ago.
