I must say I was put off by the consistency, thinner than mashed potatoes. But they were good, very good, a nuttier flavor than potatoes. Don't know if I'm gonna cook the second one the same way but if I do ill cook them a little less and drain them better.

That's a Malanga, the name Cocoyam in English cover all of it's cousins (there's like 6 or 7 varieties like Taro and the Cassava),
