Neither Hamels or Oswalt are legit 20 game winners anymore. I mean one of them could pull it out of their asses..... but I don't see both of them doing it... and keep in mind, that there is ALOT of luck (hitting/fielding dependency kinda luck) in being a 20 game winner. along with not getting injured. Hamels has never done it. Roy hasn't done it in almost 5 years ( I think, without looking)

maybe but usually hamels is not going against the other teams 4th starter, oswalt is used to being an ace he doesnt get to face 3rd starters in other seasons.

these guys should be better than other teams 3 and 4 which is why them winning 20 games wouldnt be all that surprising

no doubt, unbelievable in so many ways. how many huge stars are there in that group?

this is a team that won more than all the famous Yankee teams, ect.

and they have 1 sure fire hall of famer in their lineup

Blanton will most likely be gone and possibly trying to get rid of Ibanez and big contract. If so Dom Brown will start immediately in the bigs and then find another corner outfielder.

Remember the middle infield of Rollins and Utley missed about 120 games and both had sub par years when healthy. Howard even could have had a more power type year. Still with the injuries 3 great starters for almost half a year saved them. Now 4 of them and if no injuries then 2011 World Series champs.

Can't believe they spent the money! Fans will be elated and as much as they loved Lee before, they will kiss the ground he walks on for coming here and taking less money. Will be real hard to find tickets now at face value. Place already is usually sold out every game.

youre near philly? you a phillies fan?

speaking of HOF players on one team. I just finished reading a book written by a guy that sat in the bleachers every day of the 1987 cubs season...

and that team had an unbelievable amount of potential hall of fame players, mostly young guys before they got real good.. and Moyer was just Above avg for a very very very long time......

but think about it....

Andre Dawson
Rafael Palmiero
Lee Smith
Greg Maddux
Ryne Sandberg
Jamie Moyer

The only way they will get rid of him is to eat the rest of his contract (~$10 million for 2011). Since it's his last season, I'd say he's staying.

Yes buddy, unless they can get somebody to pay half of it, he probably will stay and also hoping for somebody to take Blanton and with 2 years left on his contract almost certain to be gone no matter how much they have to eat.
