That's weird, because other than a few lingering problems with social acceptance, I see being gay as a privileged status at this point in history. Much of the Western world is adopting legislation to remove the last remaining impediments to full participation in society for GLBT people, and a whole new generation is entering the world without any hint that alternative sexuality is wrong or bad. Ever since I first came out, each year has been better than the last and progressively more economic doors have been opened for me precisely because I am gay and thus unique in a society of breeders.

I definitely agree, but it's men's fault. Instead of telling women to go fuck themselves, most guys cave like bitches these days. I've had quite a few rants on the topic, including the ball shaving thread.
