Only problem I keep coming back to is Bernie is gay and was Elton John's cum dumpster for quite awhile. I have trouble reconciling that part.

Actually he's not gay. He's been married four times, all to women, and even though he lived with Elton for awhile in the early years, both of them have stated publicly that nothing ever happened sexually.
