God damn I just watched the beat it video in honor of Van Halen. Ive generally decided that I will not listen to MJ anymore due to the child abuse stuff. But Jesus christ its a shame. He was fucking good.

That song was huge. I remember kids started walking around with boom boxes when that hit. Beat It, and Smells Like Whatever, the only two songs I remember having a noticeable impact on people in the streets.
