He'll be forever known as a Red but like I said forever loved! The fans of Philly teams just appreciate these type of hard working players who don't make excuses for when their play is subpar!

Not like plenty of today's players Pete was completely focused 100% of the time. Like in a chess match was looking a move ahead with all scenarios covered.

WS Game 6

Game 4 down 1-2 in NLCS series Pete scored winning run forcing Astro to make play they didn't.

1980 NLCS was more exciting for casual fans than WS.
Game 4 Phillies down 0-2 top of 8th in Houston and win 5-3 in 10!
Game 5 Phillies down 2-5 top of 8th in Houston and win 8-7 in 10!

Plenty of these that series thinking it's over and ....

With the Astros, Bochy primarily backed up Alan Ashby. He was behind the plate in Game 4 of the 1980 NLCS against the Philadelphia Phillies, when Pete Rose ran him over to score the go-ahead run in the top of the tenth inning.
