can someone name me the last 6 teams to join the nhl (that are still in existance)

Wild, Blue Jackets, Panthers, Ducks and Thrashers are the last 5 expansion teams. Senators and Lightning both came into the league in the same year, so they are 6 and 7 in some order.

Edmonton came into the league in 1979, long before the above franchises did. Tho if you mean they came in from the WHA like the others did in 1979 than you would be correct of course.

Minnesota Wild
Florida Panthers
Carolina Hurricanes
Nashville Predators
Columbus Blue Jackets

Phoenix was a move from Winnipeg, so they wouldn't count as one of the last teams to join.
