shitty game 7. least interesting game of the series. Maybe the Boston defense was too strong, but I think Tampa played with none of the confidence or creativity that they are capable off. Wasted a great effort from Rollie.

Seriously, Leaf fans are not cheering for the Canucks - Canuck fans would never cheer for the Leafs so fuck 'em.

Vancouver still wins this thing though, they look like they will be too much for the Bruins to handle.

The Leafs? How do the Leafs come into this discussion? The Leafs have been spread out across the golf courses of creation for months.

I am talking about people still playing hockey. Vancouver. I want a Stanley Cup celebration in a Canadian city.

You're a smart guy, you should have understood that my point was "Canadians" don't give a fuck about the Canucks, only Canuck fans care.

The country will not celebrate a Canucks Cup victory, only Vancouver will.

If you reread what I posted and look at the words, you will see it all makes perfect sense, even within this bitter framework you are trying to shoehorn in here.

You're wrong anyway. Lots of people across the country are cheering for Vancouver.

Why is that? Do people see Vancouver as sort of separatist leaning or sort of apart from canada like quebec? I never can figure out how Canadians decide who to cheer for in hockey, no matter what the team, its usually canadian vs. canadian with some euros thrown in the mix.

I mean, there no Bostonians on the bruins ,its all Canadians. Tim thomas is from michigan though.
 
Personally, I couldn't give less of a fuck about any city. My only interest is the players and the type of hockey they try to play. In that light I give a slight preference to Vancouver. I don't care for big dopes ie Chara.

There is a bitterness on the part of some diehard fans of some Canadian teams. It is not against Vancouver specifically; it was the same in recent years when the Oilers and Flames got close.

It's a bit of a if I can't win, I'm taking my ball and going home mentality. Except of course someone does win, but there is a national rivalry/bragging-rights component in the minds of these people so an American city winning is somehow not so bad.

The ethnic constitution of the players on the teams has nothing to do with it. It's about the city where the celebrating will be happening. The mentality is, if there is going to be a Stanley Cup celebration in Canada, it is my team or nothing.

Anyway, there are such people but there are also lots of Canadians who will cheer for any Canadian team that still has a chance just because they are based in Canada. Two sides to the coin.

Interesting. Vancouver always struck me as a very cool Seattle but a place you could actually gamble online legally in, unlike the state of Washington where I believe it is a Class C felony . LOL.

I have always wanted to visit there. I would think it would be great for hockey and these Canadian cities seeking franchises to have a Canadian team win. It should be a great series.
