Godzilla had terrible drop off on par with Cloverfield. Should peter out below 200MM. Xmen didnt open as strong as projected, actually below godzilla and spiderman, but the high critical praise and lack of "blockbuster" opening competition next week has it projected to stay stong(er).

All three bettors have a film open and running. #1 in the lead w/ Spidy holding down about $185MM.

Very even with all having one film underway. It looks like #3 is in the lead with xmen sure to pass spidy this weekend, godzilla probably almost done but it did significant box with nearly 200mil. Plus 3 has animated children's film How to Train Your Dragon 2 opening this weekend.

How To Train Your Dragon got excellent reviews, and it being the only real "kids" movie dropping in the next 4 weeks will make it a winner.

22 Jump Street will do better than industry expectations I'm guessing.

New Transformers movie is 2 hours 45 minutes long.

This surprises me. I have not seen any Transformers movies and I guess I am misunderstanding the demographic. I would have assumed it was the people with the shortest possible attention spans.

Apparently not.

Looks like $17.5 million domestic, opening weekend.

5.6 rating at imdb. 26% on the tomatometer.
