wow, with this comcast box i have, three HD soccer games and its almost full. i'm definitely changing.

Uverse can hold a bunch of HD as well. I had like 35 hours of HD programming on my dvr and I want to say it was using only 38% of the capacity.

After having pretty much every provider in my multiple moves, I would only get uverse or DirecTV.

Unreal...guy says Rebatewager is where the clowns play so Blackie posts a private message sent to him by the poster. :jerk:

I definitely agree Blackie shouldn't have posted the PM but I must admit I pissed myself laughing when I just saw this. The poster is the same guy who I helped back in April I think it was. He wanted someone to transfer $15 on FullTilt and he'd PayPal the difference. I did it twice for him because it's almost impossible for me to sit on there for hours at a time anymore so I rarely bother, and now he just PM'ed me out of the blue on the weekend asking me to transfer him $10. 3-5 books my arse.

I am amazed (well, I guess I shouldn't be) at how many broke fucks post at SBR.

I'm not. Gamblers in general are disproportionately broke. This point whoring is the same thing to me as seeing people at the track pick up tickets off the ground to go put them in the machine to try and find a winner. So the fact that SBR gives them points/freeplays for posting draws them back.

The straw that broke the camels back for me was this weekend a guy said he would give away points to nice people or something. So all of a sudden it goes 3 pages and everyone is a humanitarian who donates their time and money to every charity in the world, just so they can get a few points from a poster. It was sickening seeing all of the habitual pointaholics sitting there lying how they help the poor with time and money when they are obviously full of shit just looking for a few points.

Scholar I just realized another feature I love on uVerse and don't know if I can give up. The network jack on the boxes are live and allow me to connect directly to my network instead of having to worry about my wireless. This allows me to stream movies to my tv from my PS3 and watch the MLB.tv with no hiccups. I downloaded a full 1080p movie and was able to stream it from the ps3. When I tried again on the wireless, it couldn't keep up.

That's another thing that DirecTV has on the new boxes. The RJ45 is hot and allows you to stream recorded shows to your PC, and stream audio and video files from your PC to the TV. It's not flawless though, the interface is through Windows Media Center which obeys DRM instructions in your files. They do have a nice function where you can select a folder full of pictures and an MP3 playlist from your computer and it'll do a slideshow of your pics to the music on the TV. I haven't thrown a party with it yet, but I'm looking forward to showing that off the next time I do.

Anyhow, I'm not trying to shill for DirecTV, but they've made a lot of improvements lately to stay competitive with the various IPTV providers, and overall I think they've succeeded. This is actually my 5 year anniversary with D* and they sent me a card saying thank you and a code for $15 off my bill as a loyalty reward. I don't have the option for IPTV in this part of California, but even if I did I doubt I'd switch. They take good care of me, and I have over 300 channels and 4 receivers for $83/month.

Yeah Blit, I've got two in the living room so I can have two different games on at the same time, one in my bedroom and then another in the guest room which is also connected wirelessly to my patio so I can sit outside and watch games in the shade. Since there's nothing to do here, TV is pretty much my only entertainment that doesn't require driving an hour.

was looking to deposit 500 at rebatewager a few days back. I saw wal66, had a "wall" there, and remembered some of the back and forth banter that blackie had on sbr a few months back.

I decided to deposit at 5dimes
