C'mon with the reposting of the balls of bread! or blitty's! No balls just for the sake of balls. It has to be accompanied by funny. Just balls isn't funny. Quite frankly you're embarrassing yourself. Make with the funny dammit.

I don't know if there was a Bruce Horner, But Bob Horner I remember. He once hit 4 home runs in one game, played in the 80's for Braves.
Jello you've become a legend, the first poster to receive a smiley after departing.:jello:

Against the Expos, iirc.

I remember that Braves/Padres game as well. One of the greatest things EVER. Bob Horner was in street clothes and had a cast on his arm. Pascual Perez had beaned somebody and when the guy charged the mound, Perez bolted towards the dugout and down the tunnel. He wanted no part of what he had instigated. One of the Padres ran over there in the midst of all the mayhem taking place on the field, as if he was going to follow Perez into the clubhouse. As soon as he reached the dugout steps, big Bob Horner emerges in his street clothes and gets right up in the guy's face, chest to chest with him. It was straight out of the WWF. He doesn't say a word, but just shakes his head back and forth. No sir. You will not enter here. The Padre looks at him for a second, and just turns and walks away.

Total awesomness.

Oh, Hi Robyn!!

I actually watched that game, unreal what that otherwise no-name fukk did.

No name fukk?? Horner?

Nigga please. He was one of the most touted college baseball players ever. Number one pick in the draft. One of the few players to ever skip the minor leagues completely. He had injury issues that hampered his pro career, but Horner was a phenom. He's kind of the Ralph Sampson of baseball, come to think of it.

Oh wait, maybe you were talking about that crackhead Perez. What did they call him, I-85 Perez...because he couldn't find his way off of I-85 to get to the stadium or something. That ring a bell to you mike?

I don't give a shit what he did in college. When is the last time you heard his name as far as MLB is concerned, other than the 4 homer conversation, which nobody knows anyways. Please.

Jello, take your Bob Horner lovin ass elsewhere. Nobody here cares about him. As far as the 200 homer comment in less than 10 seasons, suck a dick, I am not a pro baseball player. It really isn't that impressive IMO. Once again, if his name wasn't brought up in this thread tonight, who the hell would remember him??? Great college career, o.k. Great MLB player for his time period, no. Good, yes. Don't question my life pal.

I remember this line up well. WGN and WTBS showed the majority of games I could watch... Man they had some weird looking pitchers.
