Top 10 reasons for 2014 that people phone 9-1-1 that they really shouldn't


1.Wi-Fi at a local coffee shop isn’t working
2."What’s the fine for jay walking?"
3.Pizza not fresh; wants a replacement slice
4.“What’s the number for my travel agency?”
5.Caller phoned 9-1-1 to ask for a taxi referral
6.“Is today a stat holiday?”
7.Food they ordered is cold
8.Wants help finding lost glasses
9.Home Internet is not working
10.“What’s the date today?”
 
We had the police show up in the middle night when we were both smashed drunk after the bar and hanging out - because our internet service/connection somehow triggered a 911 call - we don't even have a home line. "Do you have xxx xxx internet provider? Oh ok that happens sometimes".

That was not a, t a.
 
Checked out one of them "In Memoriam" things for the year 2014 - i.e. famous people/celebs who died - it was 12 minutes long with fairly cheesy music on a loop, and it ended with The Ultimate Warrior - which seemed to detract from the overall dignity. But whatever, I watched the whole thing and was glad I did.

Just for comparison purposes, I checked out another that was 10+ minutes long. I was kinda fast forwarding through it but after about 5 minutes, there were barely any of the same people. But the people they had all seemed worthy enough.

Lotta people dying I guess.
