Today begins the Best Bet thread, that will directly impact the GameLive Poster Play of the Day thread.


**Post the line, odds and book where the wager is available.**
Straight bets only.
All bets are to win 1 unit at (-) odds, or to risk 1 unit at (+) odds.

Top 7 unit-earners in the Best Bet threads will be placed in a round robin rotation in the GLPPOTD threads.

When their turn is up, they will post at least two games that they like on the day, and the board will discuss and come up with THE one play that will represent the board. From there you can make a play on it if you so choose.

Hopefully this system proves to be profitable, but more importantly, it will give us all something to cheer on/bitch about together. Some call it bonding. I call it love.

If I'm leaving out anything, let me know!! :guitar:
 
yea any volunteers with grading would be great.

I was looking at some other Best Bet threads....I think those types of plays are OK. Not sure about book options.

Jello should have some answers once he sobers up. I see halftime plays, moneylines (not sure of limits), European sports.....

Gremio is coming from a powerful 0-4 away win in Itu, and is the first time this season they will be able to repeat the squad from the previous match as they have no injuries or suspensions. Monte Azul is coming from a home lost where their coach was fired on Monday and will face this match coach-less. 60 cents on the dollar is my best bet.

I'm not sure what you're doing here, but I like it. I also have to like somebody who decides he wants an ongoing Best Bet freaking culture on the board, and then the day he decides to debut it all says....."ah fuck it. I don't have a play today."

What are your questions anyway? If it has anything to do with me figuring out how this works, please don't ask. On the other Best Bet threads we did maximum +/- 500 money lines. But I think with the way you envision this you should limit it to sides and totals....maybe -250 ML limits even though that's still a lot of juice for most people.
 
I don't mind allowing big moneylines to a degree. Maybe up to -500/+500 is good?

1st and 2nd halves are fine I think. Soccer, tennis, mma, whatever ppl like.

Sides and totals. ML if it's a dog or soccer/tennis. Anything else is just puffery. People like Sammy over on SBR would play -400 and 500 ML's every day to try to pad their record. Nothing made me think less of a man in my life than grading that Best Bet thread and seeing Sam's -450 ML plays day after day after day. What a homosexual way to be.

But the GLPPOTD will have to be something that ppl can jump on during the day.

This is not to decide the POTD Jello, merely to decide who gets to call the POTD.
I am more than happy to go with the majority in terms of chalk limits etc.. but would tend towards allowing anything upto -400 or -500.
