My main thought remains how stupid it is to have such a long layoff before such an important game. Completely retarded. I will not bet the game. It's like a whole new season. I don't know how these players respond to games after a 5 week layoff or whatever.

Toadally ghey.

I will watch the game though. For me to watch a game with no betting interest is very rare so that is a serious statement about how interesting I find it.

Hmm, maybe I'll find something to put a recreational bet on. Leaning towards Auburn. Current line Auburn - 1.5.

Don't know why. Everything I have seen tells me the SEC is the best division so that means Auburn.

Rooting for Oregon and now the line goes down so probably no bet for me. Probably helps me not do something stupid! Agree with the SEC powerfulness thing and as quick as Oregon might be, Auburn probably will give them a beat down physically. Just watch and hope Oregon wins!

Originally I was gonna be all over the OVER in this game. I wouldn't have cared what they placed the total at I would gave jumped on it. Both teams average over 450 yard per game, both teams average over 40 points pergame and both teams tend to allow scoring against them.

Now I'm thinking the over is the "too obvious" choice. Oregon can not only score in bunches but score those points quickly. They like an up-tempo game that wears down the opponent. Auburn tends to allow points to be scored on them but has the ability to simply out score them. Newton is a seemingly unstoppable threat. All these things only further my initial decision to take the over. I'm not though, it just looks too easy.

If I play this game it will be on Auburn minus the points. While I know Oregon has something to prove here after losing their bowl game last year and they want to represent the Pac 10 in the best possible light against the premier conference (just ask ESPN) but Auburn just has "IT".

Muddy you know what "IT" is, you have "IT", your Miami Heat has "IT" and Muddy, Auburn has "IT".

Threw a play on Oregon +3 and Auburn ML -115

I realize the odds of a middle here are slim to none so I will probably put another play in closer to game time.

The line is strange. I don't know what to expect either but yeah when you go 13-0 in the SEC that says a lot. Plus you also have the best player on the field with the ball in his hands for half the game.

Welcome back Hermanator.

I disagree w/ Wally (I know, shocker) that the over is the obvious choice. Not with the # being so high. I haven't made a play on this game yet but the Over seems a bit contrarian and I like that.

Daft, by stating it was the "too obvious" choice I was pointing out that it wasn't "the choice" meaning I would bet the under if I were going to play the total.
Daft, I know Plommer has painted you as just a pretty boy but really, do you have to prove him right over and over again?

iamsparks, one could argue that the layoff could have had a bigger impact on Auburn. Had this game been played immediately following the Alabama win or the SEC Championship game Auburn would be without a question an easy choice. Sure Oregon still would have just ended an undefeated season as well but with much less impressive wins on their resume.

Oregon probably gained the most from the layoff cause all they will have heard all these weeks is how good Auburn is amd more importantly how AMAZING Newton is and that tends to be motivating for many. Not saying that anyone has overlooked Oregon cause they haven't but still there has been more made of Auburn and the SEC.
