I've been in hundreds of mosh pits. Always come out looking pretty...a few lumps here and there.
But I kid you not, about 20 years ago I took my worst injury ever in the pits at a GODDAM PRIMUS CONCERT!!!
Got the side of my face (cheekbone) clipped by two guys who had their hands clasped and swinging each other around. Had no feeling in my face and lips for two weeks (couldn't even feel a cup on my mouth to drink). White of my eye turned blood red and face turned yellow.
I love Primus but that wasn't very cool of them. I will exact some revenge at this show if I end up making it.

YES. Great story. I had lots of skinhead friends when I was young. They did a lot of troubles and dragged me into many of those troubles. That's like another world to me right now.

I lost both my shoes in the mosh pit @ a Primus concert, circa 1995. I fell and got stomped on for what felt like an eternity. Not my best memories.
