Cammy, my 19yo significant other had to go back home (somewhere in europe). This has made xpy feeling lonely and irritable for the short term...

Sovver lmao both Symonds and Singh were never short of controversy...Definite characters of the game. Feel most sorry for Stuart McGill. Guy couldve walked into any team in the world and be made 1st pick as leg spinner but for entire career lived in Warne's shadow.

So how long you think England will be at the top of the test rankings?? SSSSOOOO looking forward to next ashes battle. Provided fast bowlers can stay fit it will be a battle royale and fight to the end...

RJ anything but 90's grunge rock and Opera classical...

Symonds was a great Aussie bloke who just played in the wrong era.

Guys like Boon, Dean Jones, Ponting, Botham etc etc. got up to far worse than Roy ever did.

If xpansive gets bored without his european lady, I hear venditto is always keen to earn 200 SBR points.

:lmao: Thanks for the offer Cami but done grieving. Said it was as a short-term thing afterall

QC knows his stuff...The indigenous character within symonds took over and guy went walkabout for a while...All he does now is fish in Top half of australia apparently...

Im sure youve heard of Boons infamous airflight booze up.

On a flight between London and Sydney for the 1989 Ashes series, Boonie, known as "the keg on legs", set the record for most beer consumed on the flight - 52 cans of full strength beer.

Unreal...

Stuart McGill!!!!!!!!!! That's the one! He was fucking talented and would have started for any team, except the Aussies, who had Warne. McGill generated some great spin too.

As for the Ashes, it's gonna stay with us obviously. We have a solid team led by Cook. All the lads playing for each other. Should be a good Ashes, like always. Might try and get to a match if I'm home.

no shit???? how long is that flight ?

It was a sydney to london flight.

In those days, I think it took something like 30 hours and involved a stop over somewhere.

apparently, he then went to a cocktail party, had 3 pints and passed out for 36 hours and missed two training sessions.

If you did that today, you would never play for australia again. Boonie got fined and australia regained the ashes for the first time in a long, long time on english soil.

The year before he vomitted on the pitch before a game after a big night and went on to make 122.
