How are your new roomates?

He hates every last one of them. Potato will shortly rent a condo in Henderson / Summerlin and cut his losses here. The living situation is horrible.

Roommate #1: Definition of a worthless slob. ENGLISH MAJOR at UNLV. Sells dresses on weekends for his cash. Is a "Netflix guy" if you know what Potato means. Never takes care of his dishes, never takes out the trash, never locks the door when he leaves because "someones usually here", leaves his TV on in the main room at a volume which disrupts people when he leaves, smokes weed, eats peoples food, drinks Potato's Ch Milk, etc. Easily the least considerate of the roommates.

Told Potato during March Madness "don't leave without me" so Potato knocked on his door at 8:30 AM and he wasn't up. Then Potato drove back from GVR to pick him up at 11:00 AM and his excuse was "I can't go I got to get some work done on my car man". Yesterday Potato confronted him about him drinking his Ch Milk and he went with "you're pissing me off right now I mean, I bought you another gallon (of crappy watered down Ch Milk which Potato did NOT ask for)" then lectured Potato about "Dude, have you ever lived with roommates before? They're going to eat your food and use your dishes" Potato is not on speaking terms with this worthless scumbag and is now storing his food + dishes in his bedroom.

Oh yeah, he, his cousin, and the other two roommates are going to the Dodger game tomorrow. Potato wasn't invited but would have declined because he couldn't bare to be around this individual for an entire day.

Roommate #2: Navy Reserve who spent time in Afghanistan as a medic. Hospitality major at UNLV. Donates plasma for his "job". Doesn't clean up his pots and pans when he cooks. Doesn't smoke and watches anime. Doesn't really like sports. Used Potato's 3 days ago to make spaghetti and didn't clean it up. Instructed Potato to throw away his pasta rather than use the disposal because "it still might clog it up" after TOMATO cleaned out 5 BEER BOTTLE CAPS found in the disposal.

Roommate #3: The best roommate of the bunch because he's never home. Athletic training major at UNLV (transferring to Weber State because UNLV is cutting his worthless major). Lots of family in the area who set him up with a job and a place he can go to avoid this shit hole. Smokes in the apartment, both weed and cigarettes. Besides that bad habit he's an OK guy.

Ok I feel much better about my life now, I forgot how much roommates can suck.

Hang in there buddy, roomie #1 is just fucked up. Fucked up.

To answer questions and disprove the stereotype.

Mission NOT accomplished. I mean, not really.

If you are talking about the stereotype that you are not engaged here, that post where you gathered all the questions together and gave truncated answers with barely a wasted syllable, reinforces the stereotype if anything.

You know, really.

Disproving the stereotype takes more than one post or one thread. It would be a pattern of behavior over a period of time, possibly involving going into other people's threads from time to time and making relevant comments.

In fact I'm kind of thinking there is no stereotype. Stereotype usually means unfair generalization. Is it possible that what you are framing as a stereotype is simply an accurate observation?

You are seen as not being engaged because you really are not engaged because you honestly don't consider it a priority to be?

Which would be fine. No rules about that here. And if people choose to skip your posts because of it, that would be fine too.

Hmm? What about all that?

I'm not wrathing at all. I am pleading a gentle case for acceptance of reality.

I think I would like it if Potato got more involved on the forum but I understand how some people have other priorities.

Perhaps the ongoing painful-to-watch Rasper situation influenced my post, but I just want to urge people towards a state of serene self-acceptance.
