Of course I know the capital of Nevada.
I knew that you would

Car Sin City.
I knew you would too.

Question....I know Muddy probably knows all the US state capitals because of Jeopardy stuff, but overall do you think most Canadians would have any sort of knowledge of US state capitals? I don't know why they would but curious...

They would know some, depending on where the Canadian lived.

Living in Southern Ontario we get news broadcasts from both Michigan and New York State so there is alot of knowledge about those areas here.

I figure most Canadians know more about places like Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota etc than Americans that live in REAL States like PA, NY, MI, OH,IL, IN, CA, TX, etc.

On my FB there is a picture of my mom and I on some sort of a boat. I'm the one that looks like a little boy in the pic. Anyway, I am pretty sure that was taken on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls. I think.

In my experience, Canadians aren't going to know US state capitals all that well. A lot of them are pretty obscure really. Like people who don't study it might fluke on the capitals of Colorado, Arizona, Mass, Georgia 'n shit. But most of the capitals are a bit off the beaten path. Tallahassee, Sacramento, Albany, Jefferson City, Olympia, Lansing, Springfield. There are much more prominent cities in those states that would be first to come to mind by a long shot.

Canadians are generally bright people so they might have heard of some of the weird ones and it would stick with them more than a lot of people. Like the fact that Albany is the capital of New York would come up semi-regularly on Law and Order. Jeopardy does have a considerable Canadian following so stuff comes up.

But overall, the US state capitals are pretty much of a clusterfuck.

I guess we can officially declare it at this point: my word-of-the-day is: clusterfuck.

Hey Muddy... Do you live anywhere close to 1603 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON ?

That is the address for California Sandwiches in the west end... You ever had one?

I have never had one. I don't get out much. I think I have heard a lot of good things. It's a small chain, right?

I think there is one closer to me here at work than that one is to home. I have heard the one guy here talking about one for lunch. If we're talkin' about what I think we're talkin' about.

Yes; there is only one California Sandwiches chain here in the GTA. I would love for you guys to try one and hear your opinion.. it is into the sublime category....like the why do they make them that big? ...but you still eat the whole thing. It is no good for leftovers because the panini bun disintegrates.

GL Veal on a bun trip with possibly a Black Bull pint after?
